In order to obtain Remote Support
(permitting an ICS Service Desk specialist to share
access of your desktop),
you must first contact the ICS Service Desk (by phone at (514) 398-3398 or by e-mail at support.ist@mcgill.ca
to
arrange a "ScreenSharing" session during ICS
Service Desk office hours.
Privacy
For Quality Control all Remote Support sessions are recorded.
Once you have authorized a ScreenSharing
session, one of our consultants will be able to see what is on your desktop.
You may wish to close any applications containing sensitive or confidential
information before starting the session.
ScreenSharing is only temporary and all
software is automatically uninstalled from your PC once you end the session
with
the consultant.
